Inveterate globetrotter, Sylvain has over 20 years of experience in public affairs, communications and the media. An expert in major international events, having contributed to the organization and delivery of the world’s largest multilateral and sporting events (World’s Fair, G7 Summit, Olympic and Paralympic Games), and a specialist in international and government relations, Sylvain worked for nearly five years with Global Affairs Canada, including three as spokesperson for the department’s international trade division. Sylvain holds an executive master’s degree in sports organization management from the Université catholique de Louvain and a bachelor’s degree in communications (journalism) from the Université du Québec à Montréal, and has led professional and academic missions in more 15 countries on 5 continents.
