Meriem is Senior Public and Corporate Affairs Consultant at Edelman. This public relations aficionada strives to combine the principles of strategic communications and public relations, creatively, thoroughly, and with no preconceived answers, for her clients in the areas of education, finance, transportation and technology, among others. She works to position, promote and protect her clients’ international reputation and outreach.

She is very involved in her community. She chairs the Board of the Young Leaders Circle of the International Economic Forum of the Americas, in which she has been involved since 2015. The Circle prepares the young leaders of tomorrow for international issues by organizing Chatham House Rule meetings with current and past leaders to discuss international issues and their impact on the business world.

She is also a member of the Laurentia Project, which aims to bring together young North American leaders (Mexican, American and Canadian) to give North American young people a privileged place in political and corporate decision-making processes. Meriem is a member of the Canadian caucus.

Meriem joined the Board of Directors of Public Relations Without Borders (PRWB) in October 2018. She helps to strategically increase the number of public relations experts in the network, while rooting out organizations that can benefit from the support of PRWB in the world. Since January 2019, she has piloted the organization’s Outreach Committee with the help of an exceptional team of volunteers.

Meriem holds a BA in Political Science and a Master’s in Public and International Affairs from the Université de Montréal, and completed a microprogram in advanced management at HEC Montréal. She also has a diploma from the Collège des Administrateurs de sociétés of the Université Laval, under which she took the training program Administrateurs de la relève, organized by the RJCCQ.
