In December 2018, the Board of Directors of Public Relations Without Borders (PRWB) approved the appointment of Yvan Cliche to the position of Executive Director of PRWB. He will officially take office at the end of January 2019.
Yvan Cliche worked at Hydro-Québec, as Project Manager for Hydro-Québec International, until the end of 2018.
From 2013 to 2016, in affairs outside Québec for Hydro-Québec, he was Executive Assistant to the Chair of the World Energy Conference, sat on the Board of Directors of the International Hydropower Association (London), and oversaw the implementation of a solar energy project in Haiti.
Between 2007 and 2011, he worked in the external relations department of the African Development Bank (ADB), in Tunis, and carried out advocacy activities in Africa for the development projects established by the institution. He also participated in the annual assemblies of the ADB during those years, in Maputo, Dakar, Abidjan and Lisbon.
Yvan Cliche holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Concordia University and a Master’s in Political Science from the Université de Montréal. He is the author of the book Initiation au développement international (2006) and of many articles on international affairs published in various media.
Yvan Cliche is very familiar with PRWB, having sat on the organization’s Board of Directors from 2012 to 2018, as the member responsible for missions. He was appointed to that position by the founder, Luc Beauregard.
